நிர்மலா தேவி விவகாரத்தில் சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்கள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க ஆளுநர் விசாரணைக்குழு அமைக்கப்பட்ட விவகாரம் சர்ச்சையையும், சந்தேகத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
மதுரை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படும் ஒரு தனியார் கல்லூரியில் பயிலும் 4 மாணவிகளிடம் தவறாக பேசிய பேராசிரியை நிர்மலா தேவியின் ஆடியோ சமீபத்தில் வெளியாகி பெரும் அதிர்வலைகளை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. தற்போது நிர்மலா தேவி கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். மூன்று பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவரிடம் போலீசார் தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகிறார்கள்.
இந்த ஆடியோ வெளியானதும், அடுத்த நாள் காலை டெல்லியில் செய்தியாளர்களுக்கு பேட்டியளித்த மதுரை பல்கலைக்கழக துணை வேந்தர் செல்லதுரை, நிர்மலா தேவியின் பேச்சுக்கும், மதுரை பல்கலைக்கழகத்திற்கும் எந்த தொடர்பும் இல்லை என் அவசரமாக மறுத்தார். மேலும், இதுபற்றி 5 பேர் கொண்ட குழு அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது எனக் கூறினார்.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கல்லூரி வாசலின் முன்பு பெற்றோர்கள் ஒன்று கூடி, நிர்மலா தேவியை கைது செய்ய வேண்டும் என போராட்டம் நடத்திய பின்பே, கல்லூரி சார்பில் போலீசாரிடம் புகார் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. அதன் பேரில் 12 மணியளில் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்த போலீசார் மாலை 7 மணிக்கு மேல்தான் நிர்மலா தேவியை கைது செய்து அழைத்து சென்றனர். அதுவரை வீட்டை பூட்டிக்கொண்டு விட்டு வெளியே வராமல் நிர்மலா தேவி அடம்பிடித்தது வேறு கதை.
