மறதி ஒரு தேசிய வியாதி! அனிதாவுக்கு இன்று நினைவு நாள்!

மருத்துவராகும் கனவில் இருந்த அனிதா, நீட் தேர்வில் தோல்வி அடைந்து தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டு இன்றோடு ஒரு வருடம் முடிவடைந்துள்ளது.

அரியலூரில் ஒரு குக்குராமத்தில் ஏழைக்கு மகளாய் பிறந்த அனிதா, சரியான மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை கிடைக்காமல் சிறு வயதிலேயே தாயை பறிகொடுத்தவர். எனவே, தன் போல் யாரும் தாயை இழக்கக்கூடாது என முடிவெடுத்து மருத்துவராக வேண்டும் என்ற லட்சியத்தோடு படித்து வந்தார்.

பத்தாம் வகுப்பு, பனிரெண்டாம் என அனைத்திலும் நல்ல மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றார். அவருக்கு உறுதுணையாய் அவரின் தந்தையும், சகோதரர்களும் நின்றனர்.

ஆனால், அப்போதுதான் நீட் தேர்வை மத்திய அரசு கொண்டு வந்தது. நீட் தேர்வில் வெற்றி பெற்றால் மட்டுமே மருத்துவம் படிக்க முடியும் என்ற நிலை உருவானது. இதற்கு தமிழகத்தில் கடும் எதிர்ப்பு கிளம்பியது. தமிழகத்தில் நீட் தேர்வை அனுமதிக்க முடியாது, இதனால், கிராமப்புற மாணவர்கள் மருத்துவமே படிக்க முடியாத சூழ்நிலை ஏற்படும் என சமூக ஆர்வலர்களும், சில அரசியல் கட்சிகளும் கதறின. நீட்டை தடுப்போம் என தமிழக அரசு தொடர் வாக்குறுதிகள் கொடுத்தது. சுகாதரத்துறை அமைச்சர் டெல்லி சென்று பேசினார். நல்ல செய்தி வரும் காத்திருங்கள் என மத்திய அமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் நம்பிக்கை மொழி பேசினார். ஆனால், எதுவும் நடக்கவில்லை. இறுதியில் நீட் தேர்வு உறுதியானது.

இதனால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த அனிதா நீதிமன்றம் சென்று சட்டரீதியாகவும் போராடினார். ஆனால், அதில் தோல்வியே மிஞ்சியது.

கனத்த மனதுடன் சென்னை சென்று நீட் தேர்வை எழுதினார் அனிதா. தனது பாடப்புத்தகங்களை நன்றாக வாசித்து விட்டு வந்த அனிதாவிற்கு நீட் தேர்வு கேள்வித்தாட்களில் இருந்த கேள்விகள் தொடர்பில்லாமல் இருந்தது. அதிலிருந்த கேள்விகள் எதுவும் அனிதாவிற்கு புரியவே இல்லை.

அதிர்ச்சியுடன் ஊர் திரும்பிய அனிதா இத்தனை வருடங்களாய் கண்டு வந்த மருத்துவர் கனவு நீட் தேர்வால் பலியானதை தாங்கிக்கொள்ள முடியாமல் தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டார். அவரின் மரணம் தமிழ்நாட்டையே உலுக்கியது. சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் பல நாட்கள் அனிதாவின் மரணம் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது. அரசு சம்பிராதாய இரங்கல் தெரிவித்தது. வழக்கம்போல் நிதியுதவியும், அனிதாவின் சகோதரருக்கு அரசு பணியும் வழங்கியது.

இன்று செப்டம்பர் 1ம் தேதி அனிதாவின் முதல் நினைவுநாள். அவரை பற்றிய நினைவுகள் பலருக்கும் மனதிலும் வந்து போகிறது. சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் பலரும் அனிதாவின் புகைப்படங்களை பகிருந்து இரங்கல் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர். பலருக்கு அனிதா பற்றிய நினைவுகள் இல்லாமலும் இருக்கலாம்.

அனிதா இறந்து ஒரு வருடம் ஆகியும் இன்னும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானவர்களின் கனவு கொல்லப்படுவதாக தி.மு.க தலைவர் ஸ்டாலின் அறிக்கை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.

மறதி ஒரு தேசிய வியாதி என இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷ் தனது டிவிட்டர் பக்கத்தில் ஆதங்கத்தை தெரிவித்து, அனிதா வாழ்ந்த இடத்தை பார்த்தேன். அந்த வலியை என்னால் உணர முடிந்தது. இனி இது யாருக்கும் நடந்திடக் கூடாது என குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

நீட் தேர்வுக்கு தற்போது தமிழகம் தயாராகிவிட்டதாக கூறுகிறார்கள். ஆனால், எத்தனை அனிதாக்களின் மருத்துவ கனவை இந்த நீட் தேர்வு பறித்து சென்றுள்ளது என்பது தெரியவில்லை. யாருக்கும் அதுபற்றிய கவலை இல்லை.

அனிதாக்கள் உயிர் வாழ்வதற்கும், கனவுகள் நிறைவேறுவதற்கும் அரசுகள் ஆவண செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பதே எல்லோரின் ஆசை..!
