முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி பழனிச்சாமி - ஓபிஎஸ் அணிக்கு எதிராக தினகரன் செயல்பட துவங்கிய போது அவர் பக்கம் சென்ற 18 எம்.எல்.ஏக்களில் முக்கியமானவர் தங்க தமிழ்ச்செல்வன். இவரும், வெற்றிவேலும்தான் அனைவரையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்து செயல்பட வைக்கின்றனர்.
இந்நிலையில், தகுதி நீக்க வழக்கில் இரு நீதிபதிகளும் வெவ்வேறு தீர்ப்பு வழங்கியதால், தற்போது இந்த வழக்கு 3வது நீதிபதிக்கு சென்றுள்ளது. தங்களுக்கு ஆதரவாகவே தீர்ப்பு வரும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில் இருந்த தினகரன் தரப்பு இந்த தீர்ப்பில் கடும் அதிர்ச்சியைடந்துள்ளது. இதில், சபாநாயகருக்கு எதிரான தனது மனுவை நீதிமன்றத்தில் வாபஸ் வாங்கப் போகிறேன் எனவும், தனது எம்.எல்.ஏ பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்யப்போகிறேன் எனவும் தங்க தமிழ்ச்செல்வன் ஏற்கனவே அறிவித்துவிட்டார். இது தொடர்பாக தனது தொகுதியான ஆண்டிப்படிக்கு சென்று அங்கு வசிக்கும் மக்களிடம் கருத்து கேட்டுவிட்டார்.
